The Evacu-Aid is a canvas stretcher that folds into a compact size of 12" x 16" x 2". When fully open, the Evacu-Aid is 72" x 27". The Evacu-Aid has 8 handgrips to allow for fast and safe transport by 2-4 people. It's made of strong, durable, non-slip canvas and is has a washable surface. It has 8 carrying handles and reinforced stress points. When in use, the Evacu-Aid is Self-Restraining. It can accommodate poles which are not included.
Perfect for Schools, hospitals, offices and search and rescue applications.
Note: This product does not replace a backboard when neck and back injuries are present.
Seems well enough made. The purchase was made with the intent of using poles which the description mentions. Upon arrival I was unable to see where poles might be inserted as the sewing didn't permit it. The seller was quick to respond to my request for advice. I was informed the poles are meant to slide through the handles. Had I known this I likely wouldn't have purchased it. I'll make it work but it's not what I'd hoped for.
Bought it for sporting events and hoping to not use it. But its well made and stronger than several others I looked at. Just to try it out, I used it to lift a 190 lb athlete with our sideline crew and it worked great.
