You get what you pay for. That's for sure. The radio is made in China, The speaker leaves a lot to be desired. Everything works as advertised. Just don't expect a lot for your money.

Considering the price, I have not seen a better Emergency / Camping / Hiking etc Radio on the market, some that are more than half this price but do not have half the functions electronically or regarding the radio.
I purchased this as an emergency radio for our home when we do not have power or have it, but are in conserve mode.
I was skeptical to be honest and even more so when I received it as the box was so small, I was like uh oh..........
When I opened it up and got to look at it, that changed, it does have considerable weight to it even considering the miniature electronics of this day.
After getting the included rechargeable and replaceable battery ( this is one sweet feature as you can use it or not so it is like a 4th backup for your power supply) charged I took it for a test run.
First let me explain the battery that comes with it, it is a rechargeable pack that you can use or not use, it also has 3 AA batteries that can be used and they are charged by the other charging options too, so you have 3 AA batteries which I use rechargeable Energizers, these can be charged by a Wall Charger, USB, Solar or the Crank, same is true for the included battery pack, but you can charge the included pack and then unplug it very easily from the battery compartment ( and it stays in its little compartment within the battery compartment) and use the AA batteries which are charged the same way, so if you use up your AA's you still have your included battery pack to run on say if it is a all niter.
That feature alone is the coolest outside of the radio functions.
The Radio is digital, it covers AM FM LW SW and Weather Band and after testing it on the porch I found reception to be very good, sound quality very good and furthermore it has the station ID software which tells you the very station you are listening to, LW and SW reception is excellent considering the built in antenna.
Clock function is nice, humidity is cool but not really needed and the Temperature is nice but not really so much needed for emergencies.
It can also be used to power and or charge your phone via USB which is very cool for emergencies and has the sound input capability which would be cool for using to play music from small devices, it could be used for many other uses too.
Also forgot but a very useful function is the Weather Radio and Weather Alert Functions using NOAA Weather Radio Service.
Then last but not least it has alarm functions, reading light / eating light etc and a cool little higher powered led light for a flashlight
Very Very Cool little radio, yes maybe a bit more than the rest but worth it hands down regarding quality and function overall.
I am considering buying a second one to use around the house but this one will be packed away in a emergency box with all the other stuff like other flashlights, unused rechargeable batteries, 120/12V powered chargers etc etc.
I would recommend this unit to anyone that wants a nice emergency radio that covers all the bases and has all the right features even for other uses like hiking, camping etc.
And these guys have the best price I found for this piece, so I am totally satisfied :)

the main thing i like about this radio is that its solar-powered. And it has a crank you can turn to keep it working when your batteries are low. I just want to be ready for the Big One if it does come. Its handy for camping too.
